Why this one made the wall

The J-16E puts Martin's 14-fret Jumbo body into the refreshed 16 Series, with a gloss spruce top in 1935 Burst over solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. The Jumbo is a bigger box than a Dreadnought and it projects accordingly, with the rosewood putting deep bass and rich overtones under articulate highs.

Scalloped 5/16" spruce X-bracing, a Modified Low Oval neck with Martin's High-Performance Taper and a 1 3/4" nut. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Style 28 mother of pearl inlays, antique white binding, faux tortoise pickguard and a custom multi-stripe rosette. Nickel open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs, and L.R. Baggs Element electronics for when it goes through a PA. Plek'd at the factory, softshell case included.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

What does the free setup cover?

Every instrument crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, and on an online order that setup is free.

What it covers depends on what the guitar needs. Frets, fretboard, hardware, fresh strings, truss rod, action, nut slots, intonation, pickup height and electronics are all part of it, and none of it is an upcharge. The menu above shows the choices you get to make.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 48 hours from the moment it arrives to decide. Email shop@lauzonmusic.com inside that window and we will authorize the return. Nothing comes back unauthorized.
