Our take

Who this one is for

The MT 100 is the full-size Tremonti head: 100 watts from four 6L6GC power tubes, eight 12AX7s and three channels (Clean, Overdrive and Lead), each on its own circuit with dedicated preamp tubes. The control set is identical on all three, so every channel gets a 3-band EQ, Presence and its own Master.

PRS describes the Clean and Lead channels as following the MT 15. The Overdrive channel is new here, modelled after one of Tremonti's favourite personal amps. The amp face and the three-button footswitch both show matching channel lights. One practical note from PRS: start with the Master low on Overdrive, and keep it under 10 o'clock on Lead.

Our pairing is the Archon 4x12 Cabinet, which handles 280 watts at 16 ohms to match the amp's 16 ohm output. For a smaller rig built on the same voicings, the MT 15 Head is the one to look at.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
