The 112ce is the Grand Concert in Taylor's 100 Series, a compact cutaway body with a torrefied spruce top, X bracing and a 24-7/8" scale. The shorter scale makes it a little easier to fret than the full-scale models, and the small body sits close in your lap, which is why fingerstyle players take to it. It still has the punch for a pick or strumming, and Expression System 2 is built in.
For the same shape with layered walnut back and sides, white binding and a Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck, look at the 212ce. The Academy 12e is a Grand Concert with no cutaway and an armrest, and the 112ce-N puts nylon strings on a 100 Series Grand Concert.
