Who this one is for

The Next Generation PS14ce is the Presentation Series Grand Auditorium, with Honduran rosewood back and sides under a sinker redwood top. The redwood is cut from logs that sat submerged in California riverbeds, and Taylor credits it with cedar-like warmth, a quick response to touch and a high volume ceiling, so it holds up under a light hand or a heavy one. The Honduran rosewood adds a deep low end, clear trebles and long-sustaining overtones.

Scalloped V-Class bracing adds warmth and open-string richness while keeping the intonation and projection of the original V-Class. The long-tenon Action Control Neck adds sustain and resonance and lets string height be set on the fly, Claria electronics handle the amplified sound, and a radius armrest in West African Crelicam ebony adds comfort.

The appointments are the Presentation Series set: a four-piece Simons back wedge with an ebony backstrap, ebony binding, paua edge trim and rosette, California Vine inlays in paua, and Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold, under a full gloss in Natural.

The same sinker redwood and Honduran rosewood pairing appears in two Builder's Editions with bevelled armrests and cutaways: the 814ce with 800 Series appointments, and the 914ce with 900 Series appointments.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
