Who this one is for

The Builder's Edition K24ce is a Grand Auditorium built from solid figured Hawaiian koa on the top, back and sides. Taylor gives the koa a bold, articulate midrange and bright, refined trebles, and the wood is known for opening up over years of playing, gaining depth and sweetness. Scalloped V-Class bracing warms the lows and adds projection.

This is the K24ce with Builder's Edition comfort: an armrest, a bevelled cutaway, and chamfered edges on the body and fretboard. The Action Control Neck and Claria electronics, with volume, mid-contour and tone, complete the Next Generation set.

Paua carries the appointments, on the single-ring rosette, the Spring Vine inlays and the body trim, under a gloss Shaded Edgeburst that Taylor sprays by hand.

Two other koa Grand Auditoriums sit beside it. The Next Generation K24ce has the same all-koa body without the armrest, with maple Spring Vine inlays and maple binding. The Next Generation K24ce Special Edition uses Select-grade koa with a Venetian cutaway and paua inlays.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
