The 150ce is a 12-string Dreadnought with a Venetian cutaway, a solid torrefied spruce top and layered back and sides. Taylor built it around a slender neck: twelve strings take more effort to hold down, and a slimmer neck makes chords and held notes easier to keep clean. C-Class bracing sits inside, and Expression System 2 handles the plugged-in sound.
The Dreadnought body gives it a full low end under the octave strings. For a 12-string in the Grand Auditorium shape with layered Indian rosewood, look at the 254ce Plus. The Somos 150ce Doce Doble shares the Dreadnought body with its pairs tuned in unison.
