The 24ce puts a solid mahogany top on a full-size, full-scale Grand Auditorium, over layered sapele back and sides and C-Class bracing. Taylor voices the mahogany warm and dry with the midrange up front, a sound that suits roots playing, and it is balanced enough for strumming or fingerstyle. The neck is Hard Rock Maple with no heel, the board is West African Crelicam ebony, and a Fishman Presys VT is built in.
A tortoise pickguard and a black single-ring rosette are the only dressing on a matte body with no binding. For the same build with a torrefied spruce top, look at the 14ce.
