Who this one is for

The Builder's Edition 324ce is a Grand Auditorium with a solid mahogany top over sapele back and sides, braced with Taylor's scalloped V-Class pattern. Taylor voices the pairing for a strong, focused midrange with the overtones kept in check.

On the Builder's Edition, the body edges are chamfered, the armrest and cutaway are both bevelled, and the long-tenon Action Control Neck makes action changes a simple adjustment. Claria electronics add a mid-contour control next to volume and tone, so shaping the sound through a PA takes less fiddling.

It's finished in satin with a Tobacco Kona Burst on the top and back, a lower-sheen look that suits the mahogany, and the Weathervane inlays are grained ivoroid on West African Crelicam ebony. For the same mahogany-over-sapele body in gloss, with a Venetian cutaway and no armrest, look at the Next Generation 324ce. The Builder's Edition 524ce keeps the mahogany top and moves to Shamel ash on the back and sides.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
