Who this one is for

The T5z Pro puts a Big Leaf Maple top on a lightweight Urban Ash body with rounded edges and an integral armrest, all in gloss. The T5 Carve neck has jumbo frets on an ebony board, on a 24-7/8" scale, with nickel tuners.

The pickup system is the T5z set of two humbuckers and an acoustic body sensor, with five-way switching and tone controls placed close to hand.

It comes in Black, Tobacco Sunburst, Harbor Blue and Cayenne Red. The first three carry Faux Pearl / Silver Spires inlays; Cayenne Red has no fretboard inlays, so pick that one if you want a clean ebony board.

Next to the T5z Classic, the Pro adds the armrest, the maple top and the gloss finish. The T5z Custom Koa trades the maple for figured Hawaiian koa with white binding and gold tuners.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
