The Falcon Grande is a 20-watt, single-12 combo with one channel and a three-way voicing switch. Rhythm is clear and spanky, Tweed is warm and compressed, and Lead is a singing overdrive. Volume and Tone set the rest, and the two knobs interact, so small moves change a lot.
The voicing switch is on the front panel and on the four-button footswitch, along with reverb on and off. The reverb has its own Dwell and Mix controls and a full-size two-spring pan. An Ironman II attenuator is built in, with six steps from full output down to -36dB.
Pick the Falcon Grande if you want three American voices on your foot and reverb, with as few knobs as possible. If you want tremolo and separate EQ on each channel, the Imperial MKII is the next step up.
