The BG-152 is a Dreadnought in Madagascar Rosewood from Boucher's Bluegrass Goose series. Boucher hand-selects an AAAA Adirondack red spruce top, braces it with Adirondack spruce, enlarges the soundhole to 4.125 inches and raises the top radius, then fits its own modified V neck with a 1.75-inch bone nut and nickel Gotoh open gear tuners.
Boucher builds the series in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec, with bluegrass players in mind, on stage and in the studio, and describes the voice as rich lows, driving mids and strong highs, with the presence to hold its place among other bluegrass instruments. For the same wood in the OM Hybrid, look at the BG-151. The Studio Goose SG-152 is also a Madagascar Rosewood Dreadnought, built for an accurate acoustic sound live and in the studio, and the BG-252 puts this body in Brazilian Rosewood.
