The 0001 is Collings' 12-fret 000, with Honduran mahogany back and sides under a Sitka spruce top. The body matches the OM at 15" wide and 4" deep but runs longer, and Collings says that extra length typically brings more bass and more volume. With the neck joining at the 12th fret, the pyramid bridge sits nearer the centre of the lower bout.
The trim is tortoise binding with b/w/b/w top purfling, a walnut backstrip and mother-of-pearl short dots in an ebony board, with nickel Waverly tuners on a slotted peghead. The 1 13/16" bone nut gives a fingerpicker room to work on the modified V neck, over a 25 1/2" scale.
For the same body in rosewood with herringbone, look at the 0002H, and for bound edges and an abalone rosette, the 0003. The shorter OM body at the same width and depth is the OM1. Collings can build it out with other tops, finishes, trim, inlays and more, and those options are listed below.
