The 0003 is the most dressed of the three 12-fret 000s: East Indian rosewood back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, and ivoroid binding around the body, the ebony fingerboard and the slotted peghead. The board has no inlay. The rosette is abalone, the bridge pins carry abalone dots, the tuners are gold Waverlys and a chevron backstrip runs down the back.
The body matches the OM for width and depth and runs longer, which Collings says typically adds bass and volume. With the 12-fret neck joint, the pyramid bridge sits nearer the centre of the lower bout, and the 1 13/16" bone nut gives a fingerpicker room over the 25 1/2" scale.
