The 002H 14-Fret T is the Traditional Series build of Collings' 14-fret 00, East Indian rosewood under Sitka spruce. A custom pre-war scalloped X-brace with an abbreviated tongue-brace graft, an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer and a lightweight build are how Collings gets to the T voice, which it describes as dry and articulate with a warmer high end.
The Traditional neck profile carries a 1 3/4" bone nut, and the belly bridge spaces the strings at 2 5/16" over a cutthrough saddle. Both are wider than on the 002H 14-Fret, which gives a fingerpicker more room. The trim is ivoroid binding with small brown herringbone purfling, a custom wood rosette, a zipper backstrip, gold pearl short diamonds and squares, and ivoroid pins with black dots.
The 002H 14-Fret is the standard-voiced version and the 001 14-Fret T is this build in mahogany. Collings can add other tops, finishes, trim, inlays and more, and the list follows.
