The 01 is Collings' 14-fret 0, one of the smallest guitars in the line at 13 7/16" across the lower bout, with Honduran mahogany back and sides under a Sitka spruce top. Collings pitches it as a travel guitar or a small OM-style guitar, and says that while it has less bass than the bigger bodies, it has a round, punchy tone with plenty of volume and headroom.
It takes the same neck and wood options as Collings' larger models. As standard it has a modified V neck, a 1 11/16" bone nut, a 24 7/8" scale that lowers string tension, a square peghead and a belly bridge at 2 3/16" spacing. Tortoise binding, a walnut backstrip, pearl short dots and nickel Waverly tuners make up the trim.
The 01 12-Fret is the longer 12-fret 0 with a slotted peghead, and the 01 T is the Traditional Series build. For rosewood, look at the 02H. Collings can add other tops, finishes, trim, inlays and more, and those are listed below.
