The 01 12-Fret T is the Traditional Series build of Collings' 12-fret 0, in Honduran mahogany under Sitka spruce. Collings adjusts the bracing and tonewoods for weight and thickness on its T guitars, after pre-war character: warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, with a quick attack and strong projection. The bracing is a custom scalloped X with an abbreviated tongue-brace graft, under an ultra-thin nitrocellulose finish.
The Traditional neck profile carries a 1 3/4" bone nut, the 24 7/8" scale lowers string tension, and with the neck joining at the 12th fret the pyramid bridge sits nearer the centre of the lower bout. Custom wood purflings, a wood rosette, gold pearl short dots, tortoise-style pins and a slotted peghead make up the trim.
The 01 12-Fret is the standard-voiced version, and the 02H 12-Fret T is this build in rosewood. Collings can add other tops, finishes, trim, inlays and more, listed below.
