The 02H 12-Fret is the 0 body with its neck meeting the body at the 12th fret, in East Indian rosewood with a Sitka spruce top. The body runs longer, with softer curves than the 14-fret 0, and the bridge sits nearer the centre of the lower bout. Collings credits it with a fuller, more balanced voice than the 14-fret version, with a little more bass and volume.
The modified V neck carries a wider 1 13/16" bone nut, and the ebony pyramid bridge spaces the strings at 2 5/16", which Collings says suits fingerstyle and strumming alike. The 2H trim is ivoroid binding with herringbone purfling and abalone diamonds and squares, topped with a slotted peghead.
For the 14-fret body in the same trim, look at the 02H, and for the Traditional Series build, the 02H 12-Fret T. The 03 12-Fret dresses this body with an abalone rosette and a bound board and peghead. Collings' tops, finishes, trim and inlay options are listed below.
