The 02H T is the 14-fret 0 in East Indian rosewood under a Sitka spruce top, built in Collings' Traditional Series. Collings adjusts the bracing and the wood thicknesses with weight in mind, uses a pre-war scalloped X-brace with a shortened tongue brace, and finishes the body in ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer. The voice they describe is warm and rounded up top with a present low midrange, a quick attack and strong projection.
Next to the standard 02H, the neck moves to a Traditional profile with a 1 3/4" bone nut, and the ebony belly bridge widens the string spacing to 2 5/16" with a cut-through saddle. That extra width is welcome under a fingerpicking hand. Ivoroid binding with small brown herringbone purfling, gold mother-of-pearl diamonds and squares and a wood rosette finish the look.
