The C10 is Collings' parlor guitar, 14 3/4" wide with a narrow waist and a small upper bout, with a Sitka spruce top over Honduran mahogany back and sides. Collings traces the shape to guitars that appeared around the same time as the OM, and the asymmetrical Haircut peghead and curved pickguard give it a look of its own.
The neck is a rounded C-shape on a 25 1/2" scale, with a 1 11/16" bone nut and an ebony board on a 14" to 26" compound radius. Collings rates it among the easiest of its acoustics for an electric player to settle into, mostly because of that neck. The small oval heel suits the optional cutaway, which opens the upper frets.
Trim is ivoroid binding with black and white purfling and mother-of-pearl long dots. For the same body in East Indian rosewood with a bound fingerboard and peghead, look at the C10 Deluxe. Collings can build this one up with other tops, finishes, trim and inlays, and those options are listed below.
