The SoCo LC Deluxe is Collings' laminate SoCo in its dressier trim: grained ivoroid binding on the body, fingerboard and peghead, with custom grained ivoroid knobs, pickup rings and truss rod cover, and no pickguard. Underneath it is a single-cutaway semi-hollow in laminate maple with a solid maple centre block that helps it resist feedback.
The 15" lower bout is the same as the SoCo LC, which Collings builds for comfort and balance, with the single-cut shape adding wood and contact at the neck joint. Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers with 50s-style wiring sit over a Kluson ABR-1 and stop tailpiece, and the Honduran mahogany neck joins on an extra-long mortise and tenon with a 24 7/8" scale and a 1 11/16" nut.
The SoCo LC is the same guitar in its standard trim, and the SoCo Deluxe brings a hand-carved flamed maple top over mahogany. It can be built up with Collings' options for finishes, trim, inlays and more, listed below.
