A mid-fifties Precision Bass with the light aging of a DLX Closet Classic nitro finish: a two-piece select ash body, a 1-ply parchment pickguard and one Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55 Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup, from the years before the split pickup.
The one-piece quartersawn maple neck has a 1955 Soft "V" carve, a 1.70" nut and a 7.25" radius that feels round under the hand, with 20 Jescar Vintage frets and black dots. A 2-saddle vintage-style bridge, master volume and tone, and stainless steel flatwound strings keep it period-correct.
For the same bass with more wear, see the 1954 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic. The finishes are Faded Taos Turquoise, Faded Desert Sand and Wide-Fade Chocolate 2-Color Sunburst.
The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from bass to bass, so the one built for you will differ in the details.
