The 1960 Stratocaster takes the rosewood board into the new decade with a maple neck carved to a '60s Oval "C" and a 3A Rosewood fingerboard, on a 2-piece select alder body with a 3-ply mint green pickguard. Journeyman Relic aging puts it in the middle of the wear scale.
Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '60s Single-Coil Strat pickups, the middle reverse-wound and reverse-polarity so positions 2 and 4 cancel hum. Tone 1 covers neck and middle and Tone 2 the bridge. The 9.5" radius and Jescar Vintage frets suit a player who wants vintage fret height with a flatter board for bends. The bridge is a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles.
The 1959 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is the step back, with a fuller "D" neck and Fat '50s pickups. The 1962 Stratocaster Relic adds a compound radius and Fat '60s pickups, and the Vintage Custom 1962 Stratocaster is an early '60s Strat with no aging.
Three finishes: Aged Natural Blonde, Aged Candy Apple Red and Bleached 3-Color Sunburst.
The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.
