The Telecaster Custom is the bound-body Tele, binding on the top and back edges of a 2-piece select alder body. This 1960 version pairs it with a quartersawn maple neck and a flat-laminated 3A Rosewood board, a 3-ply mint green pickguard, and Heavy Relic aging that looks like decades of gigging.
Two Custom Shop Hand-Wound '58 Single-Coil Tele pickups run through modern wiring: bridge, both together, and neck. The '60s Oval "C" neck has a 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets, flatter and easier for bends than a vintage 7.25" board. The strings-through-body bridge uses compensated brass barrel saddles, which help intonation on a three-saddle Tele.
For a bound Tele with no aging, look at the Vintage Custom 1959 Telecaster Custom Rosewood. The 1961 Telecaster Heavy Relic is the same aging on an unbound roasted alder body with '63 pickups.
Three finishes: Aged Black, Aged Inca Silver and Super Faded Aged Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst.
The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.
