Who this one is for

The Jaguar was the top of the line when it arrived, and this 1963 version keeps the 24" scale and 22 frets. Shorter scale means lower string tension, so bends come easier and the guitar feels slinkier at the same gauge (it ships with .010-.046s). The body is 2-piece select alder in Journeyman Relic aging, with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard.

Two Custom Shop Hand-Wound Flat Magnet Jaguar pickups each have an on/off slide switch, with master volume and master tone. The quartersawn maple neck has a 1962 Jaguar back shape, a 3A Rosewood board, a 9.5" radius and narrow tall frets. The RSD Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge is a modern update for steadier tuning and intonation, paired with the floating vibrato.

The 1964 Jaguar Journeyman Relic is a year on at the same aging level, and the 1965 Jaguar Heavy Relic is far more worn. For the same offset body on a 25.5" scale, look at the 1963 Jazzmaster Relic.

Three finishes: Super Aged Natural, Super Faded Sherwood Green Metallic and Faded Vintage Blonde.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
