Who this one is for

The 1969 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is an end-of-the-decade Strat with light, played-in wear: a 2-piece select alder body with an offset seam, a 3-ply parchment pickguard and a plain-grain maple neck with a 1969 "U" profile, a fuller carve that fills the hand.

The 9.5" radius and Jescar Vintage frets are a comfortable middle ground for chords and bends. Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound '69 Single-Coil Strat pickups, with an RWRP middle so positions 2 and 4 cancel hum and a hotter bridge pickup. The 1/2 blend control brings the neck pickup into the bridge and bridge-and-middle positions, combinations a standard Strat can't reach. Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo and vintage-style F tuners.

For a 1967 Strat with an Oval "C" neck and Texas Special pickups, look at the 1967 Stratocaster Relic with Closet Classic Hardware. The Michael Landau Signature 1968 Stratocaster is an artist take on the late sixties.

Faded Daphne Blue and Faded Vintage Blonde come with a round-laminated rosewood board, and Faded Shoreline Gold with a maple board.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
