Who this one is for

The American Custom Stratocaster is a Custom Shop Strat built around player choices rather than one model year. A two-piece select ash body with an offset seam, a 3A roasted flame maple neck with the 1965 Strat "C" carve, and three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Underwound '69 Single-Coil Strat pickups.

The compound radius runs from 9.5" at the nut to 12" up the neck, so chords sit comfortably low down and bends stay clean higher up. The 22 Medium Jumbo stainless steel frets resist wear and stay smooth under bends. A blend control brings the neck pickup into switch positions 1 and 2, so bridge and neck together, or all three at once, join the usual five sounds. The bridge is a 6-Saddle RSD Stratocaster Tremolo with vintage-style steel saddles.

Three finishes, each with its own fingerboard: Crimson Burst with 3A Rosewood, Sienna Sunburst with Ebony, and Honey Blonde with 2A Flame Maple. The American Custom Stratocaster NOS Maple and Rosewood versions trade this spec for Dual-Mag II pickups, 21 jumbo frets, gold hardware and a black anodized aluminum pickguard.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
