Who this one is for

The American Custom Telecaster is a Custom Shop Tele built for modern playability. A two-piece select ash body with an offset seam, a 3A roasted flame maple neck with a Modern "C" carve, and 22 Medium Jumbo stainless steel frets on a 9.5" to 12" compound radius.

The pickups are a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Original Blackguard Single-Coil Tele at the bridge and a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Twisted Single-Coil Tele at the neck, on a three-way blade with master volume and tone. The bridge is a 3-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body Tele with RSD saddles. The compound radius feels round for chords near the nut and flattens out so high bends don't choke, and stainless frets resist wear and stay smooth.

Aged Blue Agave comes with a 3A Rosewood fingerboard. Sapphire Blue Transparent and Honey Blonde have a one-piece roasted 3A flame maple neck. For a vintage-leaning feel, the American Custom Telecaster Thinline NOS has a '60s Oval "C" neck and narrow tall frets in a semi-hollow body.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
