Who this one is for

Jimi Hendrix played right-handed Strats flipped over and restrung left-handed. The Voodoo Child Strat brings that layout to a right-handed guitar: a reversed headstock, three left-handed hand-wound Custom Shop '69 single-coils with reversed pole piece stagger, and the bridge pickup slanted the opposite way, as it would sit on a flipped guitar.

The reversed headstock changes the feel. The low E has a longer run past the nut, so it feels tighter, and the high E has a shorter one, so bends come a little easier. The flat sawn maple neck has a 1966 oval "C" carve, a 9.5" radius, 21 narrow tall 6105 frets and a heel adjust truss rod. The two-piece select alder body is in NOS nitrocellulose lacquer with a 3-ply eggshell pickguard. Note the tone knobs cover the neck and middle pickups, with the bridge left open.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. After you order, we check with the supplier and email you an ETA. If it changes, we let you know, and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses Ian Vance's bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
