In 1958 the Telecaster bridge changed so the strings could load through the top of the bridge plate instead of through the body. The Vintage Custom 1958 Top-Load Telecaster has a bridge that takes either method, so you can string it top-load or strings-through-body and decide for yourself.
An ash body in Aged White Blonde flash coat lacquer, with no aging, and a tinted rift sawn maple neck with a 10/56 "V" carve. The 7.25" to 9.5" compound radius is rounder near the nut and flatter up the neck, so bends are less likely to fret out. Two Custom Shop Hand-Wound '58 Single-Coil Tele pickups sit on threaded steel saddles, with period wiring: bridge pickup with tone, neck pickup with tone, and neck pickup with a fixed dark tone. A Fat '50s Tele wiring and control assembly comes in the case if you want the modern layout with both pickups together.
For the same year with wear, look at the 1958 Top-Load Telecaster Journeyman Relic. The 1954 Telecaster is the earlier strings-through guitar.
It comes in Aged White Blonde with a maple fingerboard.
The photos show one example. Wood grain and aging vary from guitar to guitar, so the one built for you will differ in the details.
