Who this one is for

The 000-18 Modern Deluxe builds the spruce and mahogany 000 with Martin's newer materials. The European Red Spruce top and the Adirondack spruce braces are VTS-treated, the X-bracing is GE-Scalloped, the bridgeplate is carbon fibre, and the back and sides are genuine mahogany in gloss Dark Mahogany.

The Vintage Deluxe neck in select mahogany has a High-Performance Taper, a 1 3/4'' nut and a 24.9" scale, with Old Style 18 abalone inlays on ebony. East Indian rosewood binding, heelcap and endpiece frame the body, the headplate carries a 1933 CFM script logo inlay, the tuners are Waverly gold open gear and the bridge pins are Liquidmetal with red acrylic dots. Martin lists the LR Baggs Anthem as its electronics option.

The 000-18 is the Standard Series version with an Aging Toner top and black binding. For rosewood back and sides with the same Modern Deluxe build, look at the 000-28 Modern Deluxe.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
