The Archon 50 1x12 Combo carries the Archon 50 circuit, two channels and 50 watts, into a cabinet with one Celestion V-Type 70W speaker. It weighs 42.8 lbs and is covered in black textured vinyl with a black British-style knitted grill.
The Lead channel's five gain stages and the Clean channel's headroom are as on the head, and each side has its own volume, master, bright switch and 3-band EQ. PRS describes the bright switch as close to a treble boost, minus the harshness. Presence and Depth are global, and the tube-driven loop and five extension speaker jacks are on the back.
Take the combo if the amp travels with you every week and you'd rather not carry a cab. The Archon 50 Head is the route to a 2x12 or 4x12, and the Archon Classic 50 1x12 Combo is its rock-voiced sibling in the same format.
