Who this one is for

The Archon 50 is a two-channel, 50-watt head with six 12AX7s and a pair of power tubes PRS lists as 6CA7 or 6L6GC. The Lead channel stacks five gain stages before the master volume, and PRS voices it to run from classic rock to metal. The Clean channel is built for headroom, which makes it a good base for pedals.

Each channel has its own volume, bright switch, 3-band EQ and master, so the two can be set independently and balanced against each other. Two global controls act on the power amp's feedback network: Presence brings the high mids and treble forward, and Depth adds low end with a resonance to it. The effects loop is tube driven.

Pair it with the Archon 2x12 or 4x12 Cabinet, both loaded with Celestion V-Types. The Archon Classic 50 Head is the one to compare if you lean toward 70s and 80s rock and want a hotter clean channel.

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
