The DGT 15 is David Grissom's 15-watt head, designed by PRS amp designer Doug Sewell to rival Grissom's favourite vintage amps. It is a single channel running two cathode-biased EL84s, and the front panel goes well past most single-channel amps: Treble, Mid and Bass, Presence, Top Cut, reverb, a boost switch and a tremolo that oscillates the power tube bias, with speed and depth.
The interesting part is how the switches interact. The bright switch can be on, off, or on only while the boost is off. The Master can be on, off, or active only with the boost. Boost, reverb and tremolo all come up on the included three-button footswitch, so one channel covers a lot of ground.
PRS calls the DG 1x12 Cabinet the pair for this head (Celestion Vintage 30, ported back). The DGT 15 1x12 Combo is the combo version, and the DG Custom 30 Head is the earlier Grissom amp it builds on.
