The microMIDI Control puts an amp or pedal with a mechanical footswitch jack under MIDI control. It stands in for the footswitch and works the two switches on a TRS jack, tip and ring, from a MIDI foot controller, a DAW or another MIDI device. That covers changing amp channels, bypassing an amp's reverb or boost and setting tap tempo on a delay. Suhr names its own PT15 and Bella amps as examples.
It responds to Program Change or Control Change messages, and each switch can be set to latching, momentary or pulse operation, or to set combinations of the two. The switching is optically isolated, which prevents ground loops where a switcher's control jacks aren't isolated. It can also add control jacks to a basic MIDI switcher that has none. Suhr's note on compatibility: amps or pedals that use proprietary circuitry in their footswitches may not work with it.
It is small enough to sit on a pedalboard or tuck behind an amp.
