The 112ce-N puts nylon strings on Taylor's compact Grand Concert body, with a Venetian cutaway and a neck that joins at the 12th fret. The top is solid torrefied spruce over layered sapele back and sides, and Taylor voices it for fingerstyle and light strumming.
The 1-7/8" nut is narrower than a traditional classical neck, which makes it an easy move for a steel-string player trying nylon. It has a matte finish, black binding, a three-ring rosette and a slotted peghead with classical tuners. For layered Indian rosewood and a gloss body, look at the 212ce-N Plus; for solid sapele back and sides in the same body shape, the 312ce-N.
