The 314ce-N pairs solid sapele back and sides with a Sitka spruce top, strung with nylon and fitted with a Venetian cutaway, Nylon Series Bracing and an ES-N pickup. Taylor voices it bold and punchy, with a full midrange, warm lows and well-defined highs.
The 1-7/8" nut gives fingerstyle players the string spacing they want and keeps complex chord shapes manageable. Gemstone inlays, black binding and a gloss top over satin back and sides finish it. For the same woods on Taylor's compact Grand Concert with a soft cutaway, look at the 312ce-N; for solid Indian rosewood, the 814ce-N.
