The Big Baby Taylor BBT is a little smaller than a full-size acoustic and keeps a full 25-1/2" scale, so it sits easily in the lap without shortening the neck. The top is solid torrefied spruce over layered back and sides, with an ebony bridge, a tortoise pickguard, a matte finish all over and D'Addario XS coated lights.
It makes a good first guitar for a teenager or an adult who wants full-scale reach in a body that's easier to hold, and a handy one to leave out by the couch. For the same guitar with ES-B electronics and a built-in tuner, look at the Big Baby Taylor BBTe. The Baby Taylor BT1 drops to a 22-3/4" scale for younger players and travel.
