The USA Select Dinky DK1 is a US-built Dinky with an alder body and a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck, scarf-jointed at the headstock with a dual-action truss rod. The ebony board has 24 jumbo frets on a 12" to 16" compound radius, rounder near the nut and flatter higher up for bends. The sharkfin inlays are mother of pearl or pearloid depending on the finish.
An active EMG pair does the work: an 81 at the bridge and an 85 at the neck, with a 3-way toggle, one volume and one tone. A Floyd Rose Original Double-Locking Tremolo and locking nut keep it in tune through heavy bar use. Hardware is black.
It is the bolt-on option among the USA Select models. The USA Select Soloist SL2H is a neck-through with passive Seymour Duncans, and the MJ Series Dinky DKR Alder is a bolt-on alder Dinky built in Japan. Gloss Black or Snow White.
