Who this one is for

The Satin Stain PC1 is Phil Collen's USA Signature with a 1/8" quilt maple top over a caramelized mahogany body, finished in satin transparent colours that let the figure show, with satin gold hardware. The neck position holds a PC1 Sustainer Driver, with its own on/off switch, an intensity control and a fundamental, harmonic or blend switch. A DiMarzio Super 3 DP152 bridge humbucker and a DiMarzio HS-2 DP116 in the middle complete the HSS layout on a five-way blade.

The bolt-on neck is quartersawn caramelized flame maple with graphite reinforcement and a hand-rubbed urethane back, with a 12" to 16" compound radius caramelized flame maple board, 24 jumbo frets and no inlays. A Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo handles the bar work.

Six finishes: Satin Transparent Black, Green, Red, Blue and Amber, plus Satin Au Natural for the bare quilt. For the caramelized mahogany body without the maple top, in Satin Gray or Matte Blue Frost with black hardware, look at the PC1 Matte.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
