The USA Select King V KV2 is the King V built in the USA, with an alder body and a quartersawn maple neck-through, scarf-jointed at the headstock with a dual-action truss rod. Its ebony board has a 12" to 16" compound radius and mother of pearl sharkfin inlays, fretted with 24 medium frets where the other USA Select models use jumbo.
A Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 sits at the bridge and a '59 SH-1N at the neck, chosen with a 3-position blade and run through one volume and one tone. The Floyd Rose Original Double-Locking Tremolo and locking nut return to pitch after heavy dives. Hardware is black.
The USA Select Soloist SL2H carries the same JB and '59 on a Soloist body with jumbo frets. The USA Select Randy Rhoads RR1 is the other pointed shape here, with 22 frets and a tone control per pickup. Gloss Black or Snow White, both on ebony.
