The USA Select Soloist SL1 is the US-built Soloist in an HSS layout. A Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 sits at the bridge with a Seymour Duncan Classic Stack in the middle and another at the neck. The 5-position blade gives each pickup on its own plus bridge-and-middle and middle-and-neck, with one volume and one tone.
The body is alder with a quartersawn maple neck running through it, scarf-jointed at the headstock and fitted with a dual-action truss rod. The ebony board has 24 jumbo frets on a 12" to 16" compound radius, flatter toward the top for bends, with mother of pearl sharkfin inlays. A Floyd Rose Original Double-Locking Tremolo and locking nut return to pitch after heavy bar use, and the hardware is black.
For the same Soloist with two humbuckers, look at the USA Select Soloist SL2H. The SL1 comes in Gloss Black or Snow White.
