The McCarty 594 is PRS's McCarty reworked around a shorter scale and a fuller vintage neck. It's a 22-fret solidbody on a 24.594" scale, with a violin-carved maple top, a mahogany back and a one-piece mahogany neck in the Pattern Vintage shape, finished in high-gloss nitro.
That 24.594" scale puts the strings at a little less tension than PRS's 25" guitars at the same gauge, so bends come a touch easier. The Pattern Vintage neck measures 63/64" deep at the 12 1/2 fret, slightly more than the Pattern neck on the PRS McCarty. Each McCarty III humbucker gets its own volume and its own push/pull tone, which PRS sets up to give humbucking and single-coil sounds. The PRS Two-Piece bridge is zinc with brass saddles, paired with a bone nut and Phase III tuners.
