Our take

Who this one is for

The S2 Vela HHT Satin is the satin-finish take on the S2 Vela HHT, the two-humbucker Vela that joined the S2 series for 2026. The offset mahogany body and set mahogany neck carry a pair of PRS DS-01 humbuckers, a PRS Patented Tremolo and PRS Phase III Locking Tuners, all finished in low-sheen satin nitro.

Both pickups can be tapped with the push/pull tone control, so a 3-way toggle and two knobs give you humbucker and single-coil sounds from each position. The 22-fret neck has the Pattern Regular carve, 59/64" deep at the twelfth fret, over a 10" radius rosewood board with bird inlays. The locking tuners and the tremolo are designed to work together for tuning stability.

We'd recommend it to players who want the HHT's two humbuckers and tremolo with a finish that doesn't shine. The gloss S2 Vela HHT has its own colours, including Red Apple Metallic. For a satin Vela with a DS-01 and Narrowfield on a plate-style bridge, compare the S2 Vela Satin.

Our pick is Metallic Midnight. A dark blue metallic suits the HHT's harder edge, and in satin it looks deep without the glare.

Questions we get

How much do I pay today?

Your choice: the full price, or a 25% deposit. On a deposit, the balance is due when the guitar reaches the shop, before it ships to you. A deposit is paid by card or PayPal. Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay can't take one.

When will it arrive?

It varies by product, anywhere from two weeks up to several months. If you'd like a date for this model first, ask us in the chat and we'll check with the supplier before you order. If you're ready now, go ahead: we confirm the ETA by email once your order is in, and if it changes, we let you know and you can cancel.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before the supplier invoices it and ships it to us. We refund what you paid less 3% to cover the card processing fee.

Once it has shipped to us it is a special order and final sale. If it arrives with something wrong, we put that right.

What if the price goes up before it arrives?

You pay the price you ordered at. Once your order is placed we hold that price, even if the supplier raises it before the guitar arrives.

Is the free setup included?

Yes. A pre-order is an online order, so it gets the same free setup: it crosses our bench before it ships, set up the way you choose. The setup menu above shows what that covers.

Do I pay duty or brokerage on a US order?

No. Duty, taxes, brokerage and customs on a US order are handled at our end before the instrument leaves Ottawa. It arrives at your door with nothing to pay.

Orders going anywhere outside Canada and the United States work differently. The shipping and returns policy sets out which is which.

Can I finance it?

Yes, if you are in Canada and paying in full. Pick PayPlan by RBC or Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at checkout. The plan, the rate and the approval sit with the provider, and you see the terms before you agree to anything. You pay a deposit by card or PayPal.
