The Baritom Drop Top is the baritone version of Anderson's Drop Top, with a top of your choice over a tonewood back and no pickguard. The 28-5/8" scale takes heavier strings tuned B to B, a fourth below standard, and holds that low tuning with proper tension.
Anderson describes the Baritom as sitting between a bass and a regular guitar, working as a lead voice or as a layer under the other parts of a track. The figured top brings the Drop Top's look to that lower register.
Of the four Baritom models this is the one with the figured top. For an all-tonewood body with a pickguard, look at the Baritom Classic, or without one, the Baritom Pro Am. For the offset shape, look at the Baritom Raven. The standard-scale version is the Drop Top.
The guitar in the photo is one customer's build in Ocean Storm Double Wipeout, shown as an example. Every Anderson is built to order: after you order, we go through the build with you, from the woods and finish to the neck shape, frets, pickups and hardware.
