The Cobra T is a T body in mahogany under an exotic top, usually figured maple, with a mahogany neck, a rosewood board and a 24-3/4" scale. Anderson introduced it in 1992, and the Cobra S followed in 1996 with the same build on the S shape.
The shorter scale gives slightly lower string tension than 25-1/2", so bends and stretches take a little less effort. Anderson puts the Cobra's strong midrange down to the mahogany, and credits the flat neck angle and string-through bridges for keeping each note clear. The bridge can be a vintage tremolo or fixed.
For the same body in all mahogany, look at the Cobra Special T. For a figured-top T outside the Cobra family, look at the Top T.
The guitar in the photo is one customer's build in Mocha WakeSurf, shown as an example. Every Anderson is built to order: after you order, we go through the build with you, from the woods and finish to the neck shape, frets, pickups and hardware.
