The Crowdster Plus is Anderson's acoustic-electric for live work. The body is hollow, a maple top on mahogany, with a mahogany neck, a rosewood board, a 24-3/4" scale and a 1.73" nut. It is strung with phosphor bronze 12-53s, the same as an acoustic.
The Plus is the electric pickup. Alongside the piezo, Anderson fits one electric pickup designed for the Crowdster and built to work with bronze strings, so it can be blended in with the acoustic sound or used alone. Anderson also offers that pickup in the neck position, as the Crowdster Plus N, which it describes as warmer and smoother.
It suits a player who moves between acoustic parts and electric sounds in the same set and wants one guitar on stage to cover both.
The guitar in the photo is one customer's build in Natural Autumn Burst, shown as an example. Every Anderson is built to order: after you order, we go through the build with you, from the woods and finish to the neck shape, frets, pickups and hardware.
