The Guardian Angel Player is the Angel with a pickguard and an all-tonewood body: alder or basswood, a maple neck with a rosewood board, and 24 frets for a full two-octave range. The Angel body has deeper cutaways for reaching the top frets and longer horns to keep it balanced.
Anderson cuts the pickguard so the neck pickup sits at the 24th harmonic. The scale is 25-1/2" or the 24-3/4" Shorty, which has slightly lower string tension.
For the same body with a figured top under the pickguard, look at the Guardian Angel. For the all-tonewood Angel without a pickguard, look at the Angel Player.
The guitar in the photo is one customer's build in Tobacco Burst In-Distress, shown as an example. Every Anderson is built to order: after you order, we go through the build with you, from the woods and finish to the neck shape, frets, pickups and hardware.
