Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's USA Concert Bass is a 4-string with an alder body and a quartersawn maple neck-through, graphite reinforced and scarf-jointed, on a 34" scale. The ebony board has outlined sharkfin inlays, 21 jumbo frets and a 12" to 16" compound radius, and the nut is 1.625" wide.
The electronics are active: an EMG 35CS at the neck and an EMG 35DC at the bridge, with volume, a blend knob to set the mix between the two, and bass, mid and treble controls. The bridge is a Jackson HiMass, and Hipshot Open-Gear Locking tuners hold the strings, all in black hardware.
Satin Black and Satin Silver are the two finishes, each with its own colour of body binding, white or black. For the 5-string version with a low B and EMG 40-series pickups, look at the CB V.
